A smooth spring green presenting a silver needle appearance with cleansing benefits and notes of fresh ocean air. Produced from virginal handpicked buds, Silver Needle Green is the equal of top-grade white tea, but undergoes a green tea process that summons clarity and prevents astringency.

It’s smooth: If you’re missing out on the aura of green tea because you think all green tea is bitter, try this one. Being an organic spring needle green, it delivers the desired wellness and cleansing detox benefits without the bitterness of lesser green teas. Essentially, a custom tea making process transmutes the look & poise of premium white tea into a green tea.

It’s different: Silver Needle Green tea is so named because it comes from the same cultivar as our Yunnan Silver Needle white tea, and the two look very similar. The youngest buds of bǎi hào shùzhǒng are hand-picked for both and then withered. Green tea undergoes fixation (heat treatment), but white tea does not. Our green tea, however, undergoes a longer withering stage than regular green teas, yet shorter than white tea. This process, along with the same origin and priority bud-picking, gives it the look and smoothness of a premium white tea, though it is unquestionably green.

Perfect for: Health goals (keto, intermittent fasting, etc). Also great as a coffee alternative and productivity tea, since it responds extremely well to multiple brews – just pour in more water and get back to work.

1 tbsp per 250mL at 85-90°C for 3-4 min.

Careful of the water temperature – too much heat will kill the amino acids that play a role in sweetening the tea, while water too cool will stunt the flavours. Over-steeping will lead to astringency. As always, start conservatively and extend steep time as per your preference.
