Tough Choice
Option 1: Vintage Champagne
How do you truly immortalise an occasion? We think this ought to do it: Agrapart Grand Cru Minéral Blanc de Blancs. We’ve found this to be the apotheosis of clean, astral champagne. But don’t take it from us:
“Meticulous attention to farming and winemaking places Agrapart at or near the top of Champagne’s finest artisan growers. These remain some of the most fascinating wines in the region. Pascal Agrapart embodies the best of the artisan tradition in Champagnes, and his wines show it.” – Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate
“Although Champagne Agrapart isn’t so well-known in these parts, mostly because of the paucity of wine produced, Pascal Agrapart’s wines are currently at the very top of the grower tree and get the same coveted, three-star rating in La Revue du Vin de France’s Le guide des meilleurs vins de France (the highest possible rating). This is the same rating granted to Selosse, Egly and Krug and only nine Champagne estates in total. Not bad for a grower who produces less than 6000 cases in any given year. This stellar Domaine now deserves to be counted among the very finest producers in the region.” – Robert Walters, author of ‘Champagne, A Secret History’
“The 2012 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Minéral is superb. Powerful and ample in the glass, the Minéral is both broad on the palate and also somehow incredibly refined in feel, an appealing combination to be sure.” 95 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2018
We currently have a handful of very special 2011 vintage bottles left, after which we’ll have the equally sensational 2012 vintage.
Option 2: Rosé Champagne
Our Rosé of choice is
Rosé de Saignée by Larmandier-Bernier, one of the pioneers of the biodynamic grower movement, and rated as one of Champagne’s top five producers by Andrew Jefford in ‘The New France’. Pierre Larmandier’s family have held vinyards in the Côte des Blancs since the French Revolution. He eliminated herbicides in 1992, going organic and biodynamic – a rare combination given only 2% of vinyard area is certified organic. Their holdings – up to 70 years old – are located in Vertus, at the Southern tip of the Côte des Blancs, with vinyards in Cramant, Chouilly, Oger & Avize.
Here’s why we love it:
“This wine is drawn entirely from what is thought to be the oldest Pinot Noir vines in Vertus, and one of the very last 100% Pinot vineyards. As with all of Larmandier’s wines it’s naturally fermented. This is one of Champagne’s wow wines, a wine repeatedly compared to a light bodied Chambolle-Musigny, a wine that can stop drinkers in their tracks. So fine and pretty yet equally intense with rose and red fruit aromas and flavours, a bright, juicy and chalky personality and the depth to go with grilled salmon or roast duck.” – Robert Walters, author of ‘Champagne, A Secret History’
“The Larmandier-Bernier Champagnes are some of the purest and most utterly engaging wines being made in the region today. I can’t recommend them highly enough.” Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate
“Pierre and Sophie Larmandier craft dramatic, vinous wines of real personality and class. Sustainable farming practices, indigenous fermentations and aging in cask are some of the cornerstones of an approach that yields distinctly potent, textured wines full of character.” Antonio Galloni, Vinous
Option 3: Mouth Of Babes Tea
For a non-alcoholic option, we’ve included Mouths Of Babes, one of our most in-demand organic tea compositions. It blends botanicals that can naturally support healthy and consistent milk production for mothers, as well as much needed relaxation. It comes in a gift box and an ingenius re-usuable European ultra-violet jar – ancient technology which fittingly functions like a womb, nurturing the life of all it holds.

COVID-19 UPDATE:
The ongoing situation with government restrictions and higher volume of online shopping is causing a delay with all shipments nationwide. The length of the delay varies week-to-week, so we can only offer a guide. Please allow more time than the usual transit time estimates provided below. Please allow about 2-4 extra working days for metro deliveries, plus more for regional areas. Regional Victoria currently presents the longest delays, and the usual times there should be about doubled. Please contact us if you have any concerns relating to this.
NOTE: When preparing all orders, we wear gloves and face masks, and follow strict hygiene protocols.
ORDER PREPARATION & DISPATCH:
- Our courier collects all our orders each working morning. Orders received by 1:00pm on a working day will be dispatched the following working morning.
- Orders received on a non-working day or after 1:00pm on a working day are not guaranteed to go out the next working morning. They are usually dispatched the next available business morning after that.
- Our teas are prepared and packed fresh on a per-order basis, and our gift boxes involve a lot of preparation time. As such, our scheduling allows further quality control checks and sufficient time for order preparation/presentation of the highest degree.
- Despite the 1:00pm policy above, we usually try to have as many extra orders as possible dispatched the following working morning, but it depends on the number of orders and staffing, and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
- If you have particular shipping or timing requirements, we can’t guarantee factors beyond our control, but we are happy to do everything we can for you. For these cases, please contact us to discuss.
See our FAQs or Shipping Policy for more detailed information.
